Cloudy with a Chance of Meat Balls

Wow, what to say.. what-to-say. I usually like to balance out what I write with the good and the bad of a movie. Well, I've got nothing but good to say about this one. The character designs were great, I especially liked the monkey and the dad.. the dad especially, those eyebrows killed me. The animation and effects were great. There was so much detail in the food and with the way it looked and reacted with the scene.

All the voice talent matched really well for me. Usually you can watch an animated movie and there's one or two voices that just don't seem to fit the character. There was also plenty of comedy. On numerous occasions I thought they were going to zig when they zagged on their gags. And I appreciate that greatly when it comes to a movie. It's hard to surprise a movie veteran such as myself, but I found myself laughing a loud all through my viewing.

It's a great movie for any age. There are a lot of 'family' movies out there now a days that tend to sneak some sexual innuendo in, or jokes that a child wouldn't understand. Don't get me wrong, I like those jokes, but this film has a lot of charm and enough imagination to get by on its story, characters, and beautiful design. If I actually had a ratings system, I'd give it two thumbs up, or a lot of tomatoes, or 5 stars.. you get my drift.
