Trangs Tat

A cute little co-worker of mine hit me up for a tattoo design, how could I say no? She wanted a cross and a flower. I asked her for some reference images of what she was looking for. After she figured out what she wanted and gave me the images I had an idea of style and color. And this is the result.

Megans Wedding

Kind of a funny story. We were all out celebrating a birthday. And an old friend from high school was there (Megan). She was going to be getting married soon, and this was the first I heard about it, so I gave her a bunch of shit like "I'll be expecting my invitation". Then she told me she hadn't invited me cuz I didn't have a car. In all honesty I appreciated that, it sucks to get invited to something and you have to turn the invite down cuz you can't get there. Anyway, I didn't tell her that, I let the shit giving continue.

So I was like "Really? My cars parked right out there.". She was like "whuh? no way, since when". Told her I'd had it for about a month. Then she promptly invited me. It's funny how life works out sometimes. Here's some of the pics.

Where it all went down.

Running Man

So if I'm lucky I get to ride the Mohawk bus on my way home. There's two 96 buses. One goes by my house on it's way back to Portland (the Mohawk) and the other goes to Wilsonville. Well I got the good one today and that usually means I get a little alone time with the bus driver cuz I'm the only one left. So we were chattin' about how people are dicks and don't usually let people who just got off the bus cross the street. So he usually blocks traffic with his bus to let people go across. That sparked this conversation: (T = Me, B = bus driver)

T - "yeah I usually just walk across the street no matter what, the way I figure it, if they hit me I'll just sue'm"

B - "but then you won't have legs"

T - "So!? The future is now, I'll just get some bionic legs"

B - "like Steve Austin"

T - "totally. And I'll have to get a red running suit, and I'll carry around a boombox so I can play that juh-juh-juh [...Read More]

Beacon Rock

So I've been in the mood to get out lately, drive my car, enjoy the sun. And we have this small group of people that go on walks during lunch at work and the subject came up of a group that goes on hikes from time to time. Me and Jen, one of my co-workers thought that'd be cool so we went to the one at Beacon Rock (way the F out in Washington), pretty decent drive from Tualatin.

After the hike there was a BBQ at one of our co-workers house. Nothing better than working up an appetite and then getting some grub. Note to self, in the future wear sun screen if you're gonna be out all day. I was a lobster for the next week.

Welcome.. to zuh rock.

Project 'Clear Tunes' : Complete

I was planning to install my new stereo this morning while it was still cool out. So in order to ensure I could do that I had to solder a couple wiring harnesses to the harness that came with my deck.

IMG

This whole process took me a couple hours. The last time I did any soldering was in Jr High, on stained glass, with proper tools. When I began I figured I could just use a cigar lighter, heat up the wires, and apply the solder. Wrong. The wires (and the lighter) had no problem heating up (I have roughened fingertips to prove that), but the heat wasn't sustained long enough to melt the solder. So I switched my whole approach around.

I forgot I had the stick lighter you see above, but boy did it come in handy. After I rigged up my own little 'helping hands' system (with some clamps and close pins) I was set. S [...Read More]
