So during our little road trip, a lot of funny random things were said, and they must be recorded before they are forgotten. These aren't in any order.

'Get the Bear Stick!" : Alyssa had this stick in the back of her car with bells on it. Her dad works for the forestry department, and gave this to her in case she's in the woods and runs into a bear.

"Not It" : A classic but a goody. And was said on many occasions during the trip.

This was just a funny occurance. On one of our mornings we stopped off at an Elmers to get some breakfast and Evan was acting silly, talking about something flailing his arms around, when his hand comes down on his spoon and powdered suger goes everywhere.

"House Full of Grandpas" : One of the random stories we came up with on our first night of driving.

The Slamdance party was later in the day and we didn't have to be anywhere in the morning. So after breakfast we did the touristy thing. It was a really nice day for it.

Day 2 in Salt Lake, time for site seeing.

So I was taking a picture of this (this city has some great relief sculpture), when this random guy stops next to us and looks up at what I was photographing. "Huh, I've lived here for years, and I've never seen that". It's pretty cool when you can show somebody something new about their town.

Before we started off we decided to stop off and pick up a few provisions. One of which was some blank cds so that we could burn some music as we went. I made an mp3 cd that wouldn't play on her machine so Jason was cool enough to break out his laptop and he put those songs onto his HD and started burning some cds that her machine could recognize. Oh, also, I took over the reigns of driving for a good part of the morning.

So my friend Evan hit me up to do a logo animation for a video he was working on for the hotel he works at. During the process of making the animation I asked him when he wanted it by, he gave me the date and added that he has a real tight schedule at the moment because he was heading off to Utah in a couple days. I asked him why he was going to Utah, and he informed me that he, Jason, Alyssa, and one of Alyssa's girl friends were going to go see Alyssa's finance (Ian of Macintosh Braun) play at the Slamdance opening party.

I asked what Slamdance was, and it's a film festival much like Sundance (which is happening at the same place and time as Slamdance). I said "wow, that sounds like it'd f'n fun.
